CASE X
'Case X - a partial peek into the contents of Case X, Spring Break, 2010'. Digital Print ca. 20" x 9".
There is a library that segregates certain books into a section titled 'case X' (their description not mine) in their special collection. Approximately 300 books are in that venue. An appointment is required to view these books - some of which are available and accessible in local public libraries or in bookstores around town. Some books may, of course, be valuable and need protection; but surely not all of these illustrated here? I expect the books will be made more accessible soon. The illustration here gives a partial peek into the status of 'case x' as of May, 2010 and attests to the power of the library cataloguer as a gatekeeper of sorts.

The print 'case x' consists of many of the front cover images of the 'case x' books - I took these images from online sources. Not all cover images were available (particularly of the older books), but enough to make the point, I feel.
